Terramar
The community of Terramar, in the Northwest Valley is located at 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Roads. This family friendly neighborhood is an ideal location, with it’s close proximity to shopping, dining, family activities and schools, it is a great place to live.
Terramar is made up of single family homes, single and two stories and they range in size from two bedroom homes up to five bedroom homes. With desert and mountain views, this beautiful community also has it’s own community park. Terramar Park, located off of Happy Valley Road boasts a fun park for the kids with both small play structures for the little ones and a more exciting play area for the bigger kids. There are covered ramada areas to get some shade and enjoy an outdoor lunch. With wide open grassy areas there is plenty of room to run around and play some group games like soccer or football. The park also has a walking trail that encompasses the entire perimeter of the park. For added convenience there are also restrooms at the park, making this a perfect place to spend an afternoon outside with the family.
The convenience of living in Terramar is quite evident with shopping just minutes from your door, some may even walk to the local grocery store or pizza place. The Happy Valley Marketplace shopping center located at the corner of 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road has everything you could need, dry cleaners, Walgreens, Fry’s, a Subway, McDonald’s, coffee shop and the newly opened Hi-Health. If what you are needing isn’t here, just a short drive away are other shopping areas with plenty to offer.
Schools that are within Terramar’s boundaries would be Terramar Elementary School, K-8 and Mountain Ridge High School an A+ School of Excellence, 9-12. Terramar, is so close some kids may even be able to walk or ride their bicycles to school. Mountain Ridge is just a few miles up the road on 67th Avenue. There are also many charter schools in the area, many parents like to have the option of different teaching styles for their kids and Terramar is close to quite a few popular options like Basis in Peoria and Happy Valley Charter, which is actually right next door to Terramar Elementary.
The activities that are close by to Terramar make this area the ideal location. Hiking at Thunderbird Park, enjoying the local community center and one of the valley’s largest churches offers plenty of group activities that you do not need to be a member of the church to participate. From soccer and softball teams to group exercise classes, CCV (Christ’s Church of the Valley) welcomes all to participate and it’s just a stones throw from Terramar.
