Glendale’s Mountain Ridge High School senior is West Valley Player of the Year. Madison Witt is one of the state’s top shot blockers. She has amassed a 64-12 record and has appearances in two semifinal Division 1 state tournaments; just two years ago Mountain Ridge was hovering around the .500 mark.

The US Census Bureau just released some interesting figures for 2011. Arizona has seen a net increase in the number of people moving into the state. Don’t get me wrong, people do leave the Valley of the Sun. Check out this chart…there are some surprising stats here.

What really happened to the housing market this year? Well let’s look at the stats.August 2011 saw the lowest price/SF and from that point on we have seen some terrific gains and movement in the marketplace. This is shown by the chart on the right. Here we can see significant and steady increases in sales prices, a whopping 28% increase in price/SF!
