On Saturday, August 4th in downtown Glendale you and your Pooch can check out the Dog Days of Summer. This annual event is a way to enjoy a morning out with your four legged friends. The historic downtown area will be hosting breakfast in the park from 7-9am with Woofles (dog friendly waffles) and breakfast burritos for the humans; small fee does apply for the food. There will be activities at 9:00am over at Murphy Park Amphitheater where there will be various booths set up offering dog treats, pet massages, and accessories. Another cool option for an inexpensive family friendly outing is on Saturday, August 4th and 5th, if you are a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch cardholder you will receive free admission to the Musical Instrument Museum, Children’s Museum of Phoenix, and the Phoenix Art Museum. Another fun event going on this Friday, August 3 is at Wet n Wild in the Glendale Homes for Sale Area, it is Dive n Movies! Starts at 8:00pm on Friday and this week’s movie is “Dolphin Tail”. Kids can float in the wave pool while you sit back and relax in a lounge chair and enjoy the show. If you can’t make it on Friday, then check out Wet N Wild on Sunday for the Cartoon Network Tour. If you head over to Westgate City Center in Glendale you can enjoy live music on August 3rd and 4th. At the fountain park area at 6:30pm The Heat will be playing on the 3rd. A top 40 cover band will be playing hits that everyone can enjoy.
