Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2015

Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2015

Arizona Restaurant Week

Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2015 is September 18-27. This affair offers foodies and those looking to expand their Arizona restaurant experiences a plethora of dining options they might not typically choose, often in different neighborhoods, providing a great opportunity to experience something new. Options are endless, ranging in cuisine type, all offering special pre-fixe menus and pricing during restaurant week, so it’s the perfect time to try new fare. The goal of Arizona Restaurant Week is to position Arizona as one of the nation’s top culinary destinations by increasing awareness of the available dining experiences while stimulating business for the restaurants. Prepare your palates for some of the best food in the Valley!

Having been to more than half of the some 200 restaurants participating in Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2015, here, I outline some of my favorite participating places. Be sure to check out the Arizona Restaurant Week website for all participating restaurants. Click on any of the restaurant names below to visit their website.

My favorite restaurant:

The Gladly: Contemporary American; Don’t miss the chimichurri chicken or the whiskey list, I’m a whiskey snob & the list here is phenomenal

My favorite fine-dining:

T. Cook’s; Contemporary Mediterranean; At this AAA four diamond & Zagat #1 rated restaurant in Phoenix, located in The Royal Palms Resort, anything you order will not disappoint

My favorite appetizer:

Barrio Queen; Mexican; Don’t miss the signature guacamole app, it’s borderline life changing. Also, a beverage is included with the pre-fixe deal. Margarita? Yes, please!

My favorite entree on a participating pre-fixe menu:

The Arrogant Butcher; Gastro Pub; Don’t miss the Short Rib Stew, one of my favorite entrees in the Valley

My favorite Latin cuisine:

Ticoz Latin Kitchen: Many delicious options here, but the pork chile verde mac n cheese is a definite winner. And, the pre-fixe comes with a beverage. You will not be disappointed with a glass of the Sangria; it’s my favorite in The Valley.

Some of my other recommendations not to miss during Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2015: Central Bistro, Chelsea’s Kitchen, Nook, The Henry, The House Brasserie

Especially great deals: This fall, several restaurants are offering a pre-fixe menu priced at just $44/couple. If you are looking for a foodie experience to get the most bang for your buck, check out one of these options:

5th and Wine, as expected they offer a great wine selection and it’s a great casual atmosphere for a fun group dinner; Blanco Tacos & Tequila, the legit cuisine at all Fox Restaurant Concepts (FRC) restaurants make this a solid option, my go to here are any of the seafood taco options; Culinary Dropout, also a FRC restaurant, the expected modern cuisine and atmosphere deliver, order the 36 hour pork ribs and bourbon black bottom pie, you’re welcome; Porkopolis, I don’t often venture to Chandler for dining, so this is the only restaurant with the couple pre-fixe option I can’t personally recommend.

If you’re looking to dine out near home, there are a few Arrowhead Ranch area restaurants participating in Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2015. If you have to get home to a babysitter and don’t want to spend time driving to Scottsdale or Downtown, spend an evening at Arrowhead Grill, Firebirds or The Melting Pot. They all deliver great cuisine a stone’s throw away from the Arrowhead area.

Bon Appetit!
