Stetson Hills School located in the Glendale Homes for Sale area, is part of the Deer Valley Unified School District. This K-8 grade school is situated in the heart of the community of Stetson Hills just off of 39th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.
Home of the Stallions, this school opened in 2001, and is currently headed by principal Amy Jorgensen. An excelling school for 6 years running and an A+ School of Excellence, Stetson Hills School mission is “to empower our students to be successful in an ever- changing world”.
Students at Stetson Hills School Glendale Homes for Sale can take part in a wide array of school activities, such as STEM Club ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Art Club, Band, Mad Science which is filled with experiments and interactive activities, Band, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, and of course various athletic programs. The Stallions, were named “School of the Year” for athletics for the 2011-2012 school year. This prestigious award was given over 37 other schools in the district for the athletic programs overall achievements both in the classroom and on the field as well as the charity work and personal character of the students.
Recently Stetson Hills School was able to purchase more computers for the students. Through the hard work of fundraising and getting donations the students now have 25 more laptops to work with making the ratio of computers to students 1 to 2:5 students. They are going to plan for getting more this upcoming school year. It is this commitment to the students that makes Stetson Hills School one of the top schools in the Deer Valley School District.
Other programs offered at Stetson Hills School Glendale Homes for Sale are the gifted education, special education, and the reading support program. Parents are encouraged to be very involved at Stetson Hills School. With various volunteer groups, PTSA and other groups that help make Stetson Hills School a wonderful, safe learning environment for the children. It is no wonder this school has won so many accolades over the years.
