15 Aug Glendale Homes for Sale- Child Care Options
I would say one of the hardest decisions a parent has to make is who you are going to entrust your child with all day. There are so many options and types of day care out there and you really need to do your homework and find the right fit for you and your child. Living in the Glendale Homes for Sale area we are fortunate that we have many options so close to us.
Located in the heart of the Glendale Homes for Sale area is the Phoenix Children’s Academy, at the corner of 39th Avenue and Happy Valley Road. This is not only a day care facility but a pre-school too. Phoenix Children’s Academy takes kids from 6 weeks of age to 12 years (before/after school program) but the majority of the care is for the 2-5 year olds. With the capacity for 193 children and hours from 6:00am-6:30pm kids are put in more classroom settings rather than a day care environment. Each age group has a structured day of learning with time for rest, outdoor play and meals too! You have the flexibility here to have your child attend for 1/2 days or full days and the cost depends on the age and time frame you need.
Another facility that is in the Northwest Valley is Kiddie Academy of North Phoenix. Located on Pinnacle Peak Road in Glendale this child care center offers care for infants all the way up 6th graders (before/aftercare program), again with the majority of the children being toddlers and preschoolers. Kids are grouped by age and set up in classrooms with a curriculum that is planned daily to incorporate math, science, motor development, language arts, and of course play. Kids in the preschool class are taught the Arizona state standards that will help them get ready for kindergarten. Pricing here varies depending on the age and time frame you have your child enrolled. For example a three year old full time rate is $175.00 / week and an infant rate is $210.00/week.
Children’s Learning Adventure Childcare Centers is another option, located on Lake Pleasant Road and Happy Valley Road. This child care center has a unique design. It is all about discovery and exploring, the kids going on an adventure. The facility takes infants through school aged children. There are miniature “shops” for your child to explore and learn like going to the bank, or taking the train and going to the movies. They try to teach everyday adventures that your child will experience. They also really try to incorporate nature and the environment into your child’s curriculum. Children are put in classrooms with a schedule of daily events that have math, science, arts, playtime, and other educational adventures.
Prices for child care can range but on average full time preschool at one of these facilities can cost anywhere from $700 to $1,000 per month. You really need to visit the different facilities and ask a lot of questions before you can make an informed decision.
