Residents of Peoria have been enjoying new Paloma Community Park that opened phase one in fall of 2020. The park, located just south of the Loop 303 off of Dixiletta Drive and Lake Pleasant Parkway is open daily from 6am to 10:30pm.
Currently at 85 acres in size, the new park can accommodate large numbers of people while maintaining social distancing. The completed phase one provides an array of active and passive recreational activities for the community. The approximate size of the park will be 120 acres when both phases are completed.

Paloma will be Peoria’s third community park, joining Rio Vista Community Park, north of Thunderbird Road between Loop 101 and 91st Avenue, Pioneer Community Park, off 83rd Avenue between Olive and Northern avenues. Paloma will be more than double the size of Rio Vista and nearly 40 acres larger than Pioneer.
