28 Aug Amazon and Aldi Coming to Goodyear!
Great news for shoppers (online and in-person) and job seekers in Goodyear! Not only has Amazon signed a $20 million deal to purchase 90 acres at Indian School Road and Cotton Lane, Aldi grocery stores recently announced it will open a store at Estrella Parkway and Roosevelt Street by the end of 2020. In addition to a grocery store, Aldi also has plans to build a distribution center in the west valley.
While Arizona continues to face record high unemployment due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, these two companies are sure to bring a multitude of job opportunities to the west valley.
Even though it is not yet clear when Amazon plans to build a warehouse or distribution center on the 90 acres, the site is certain to bring in jobs.
During this pandemic that has led to tens of thousands of layoffs in the state, Goodyear is fortunate to be able to continue to grow its base of workers.
